Q&A With Eripitan Osagie-Sule

1. Coffee or Tea? Tea – all kinds, but preferably decaffeinated

2. East Coast or West Coast? I’ve never been on either side, so I’m going to say southern with a hint of sass, class and sophistication.

3. Dream Vacation? Hiking through mountains and volcanoes on an island in Hawaii. All-expenses paid, of course.

4. Ice Cream Cone or Milkshake? Ice cream cone!

5. If you could meet anyone from The Bible, who would it be? Jesus or Noah.

6. Please tell us your story using five words? I owe it to Him.

7. What is your “go to” scripture? “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” -Psalm 55:22

8. How do you keep grounded in the word as a millennial? I put God above everything else and I start my mornings with Him. Daily devotional, YouTube sermons, whatever it may be, I’m focused on Him and only Him. I also have a godly family that reminds me of His grace, so that’s a plus.

9. What is one piece of advice you would give to your younger self? A piece of advice I would give to myself is to trust myself more and to never follow the trends. I spent a great deal of my life trying to fit in and it wasn’t until my third year of college did I realize that I wasn’t meant to fit in, but to rather live my own life.

10. How have you developed your brand over the years? I’ve truly only had this brand for 1.5 years, but I try to stand out by remaining true to who I am. I used to hide my personality a lot, because I thought people would think I was weird or that my style wasn’t cool enough. Now, I’ve crafted my brand to be a true reflection of my personality, thoughts, emotions and life.

11. What is the most challenging aspect of being a Christian influencer? The most challenging aspect of being a Christian influencer is trying to reach individuals that aren’t Christian. I have to be realistic – it’s 2018 and not everyone is a believer. I know I have some followers that don’t believe in the bible… I even know of an atheist. Regardless of what they think, I will continue to showcase my love and devotion towards God and hopefully they choose to stay. By incorporating my faith into my brand, this is something that I must be cautious of. Not everyone is going to be comfortable with what I have to say, I just hope that they receive the message.

12. How have you been able to use fashion to express yourself? I’ve used fashion to express myself by ignoring trends! I don’t keep up with what’s in style, but rather what I look good in and what makes me feel more confident.

13. How have you seen your blog, influence others? I’ve had a few individuals from my High School (I graduated in 2014) reach out to me and tell me that I’ve been an influence in their life. Whether that’d be push they needed to be more confidence in their style or sharing a caption that brightens their cloudy day.

14. How can young women learn how to relearn and define themselves in God’s eyes? I truly believe that when you stay near God and engulf yourself in with His presence, you aren’t as likely to stray away from the image He has of you. Now, I’m not saying that you won’t stumble, because we all do, but if you focus on His word and what He says you are, then you can teach yourself to ignore what society wants to tell you and rather who He says you are.

15. What two piece of advice would you give to your single sisters? I’m currently single and the advice I would give to my single sisters is not simply, “enjoy the wait”. I think that phrase gets thrown around too easily and it does not help too many people. I would tell my single sisters to occupy your mind, body, and spirit, WHILE you wait. Fill your mind with pure thoughts and God’s word, embrace your body and maintain health, and keep your spirit ready for more blessings, more change, and more opportunities. Don’t wallow in your singleness, but rather prepare yourself to be the best companion possible. Another piece of advice I would give my sisters is to know that marriage does not equal happiness. Make sure to have the proper intentions in wanting to be in a relationship or a marriage. Marriage is not always easy, so it’s best to have your mind and heart ready for that journey.
